I concur in that a bit of texture on a CG character adds an organic element to a potentially plastic looking character - the thumb prints will do that.

I've hung fire on going to see Open Season as I hate Martin Lawrence - isnt he in it??Jo Blinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03164759684355532490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37235342.post-28196322999954087552007-03-09T09:49:00.000+00:002007-03-09T09:49:00.000+00:00Glazy, we are not out to fool anyone, thats not th...Glazy, we are not out to fool anyone, thats not the point at all. Personally I love the high quality drawn stuff like the Tank and the guys in the rocket etc... and would love to see it as 2D animation or cell shaded 3D.Andrew Glazebrookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10561008286443964427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37235342.post-68610008778641661392007-03-08T16:57:00.000+00:002007-03-08T16:57:00.000+00:00Thought it was time for a change!Thought it was time for a change!Niel Bushnellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05581401561172547894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37235342.post-39404601068012733902007-03-08T15:22:00.000+00:002007-03-08T15:22:00.000+00:00ARF!ARF!...(your piccies gone all real like...I pr...ARF!ARF!...(your piccies gone all real like...I prefer the cartoon version...not as scary)Gordon Fraserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02862122465606125901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37235342.post-3510034403257667612007-03-08T15:04:00.000+00:002007-03-08T15:04:00.000+00:00No lossNo lossNiel Bushnellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05581401561172547894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37235342.post-27207414403114635612007-03-08T15:03:00.000+00:002007-03-08T15:03:00.000+00:00It does indeedy my friend!....MY HEAD IS GOING TO ...It does indeedy my friend!....MY HEAD IS GOING TO EXPLODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Gordon Fraserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02862122465606125901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37235342.post-62096804906079407252007-03-08T15:00:00.000+00:002007-03-08T15:00:00.000+00:00Open Season rocks!Open Season rocks!Niel Bushnellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05581401561172547894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37235342.post-18007043534221199052007-03-08T13:40:00.000+00:002007-03-08T13:40:00.000+00:00Very interesting point regarding the 3D look compa...Very interesting point regarding the 3D look compared to stop motion, just see the reaction of Nick Parks to the Dreamworks films compared to their homegrown films. Personally, I don't have a problem with it looking CG.
